New York-based Index Stock Imagery, Inc., is a leading source of photographs, illustrations, and digital images. It represents over 1,600 professional photographers and 80 independent still image providers and has agents in 70 foreign countries. Index was the first stock agency to begin storing and distributing images electronically. It started scanning its collection in 1992 and launched its first e-commerce site in 1994. The agency now has more than one million images available online-one of the largest and most complete collection of commercially available images in the world.

Disadvantages

- 10 megapixel or above
- No point and shoot cameras, they must be professional with interchangeable lenses
- Files to be captured in RAW, converted to TIFF (no shooting in JPEG)
- Use only high quality scanners (drum is preferred)
- Files to be minimum of 50mb

How to pass succesfully the entry test on indexstock ?

At the top of the page click at Register.

If your technical specs meet with their criteria, send a submission of 50 images minimum, as per our Initial Submission Evaluation, along with their Artist Questionnaire. This must be filled in as they will not review your images without it. I want to sell photos through Indexstock !
